Peace Regional RCMP are looking for a suspect who tried to rob the Best Western Hotel on the west hill in Peace River Friday night.
According to RCMP, the suspect walked into the lobby just before midnight where he confronted two workers with a knife.

The workers were not harmed and police say the suspect fled on foot without obtaining anything.
The suspect is described as:
- tall male of unknown descent
- wearing a waist length black jacket
- lighter wash blue jeans
- green hoodie with the hood up
- a grey mask
- white running shoes.
It’s believed he may have fled in a vehicle that was parked in the westbound lane of Hwy 2 just west of the train overpass.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen the individual or the vehicle to call Peace Regional RCMP at 780-624-6677 or Crime Stoppers.
