An outbreak of a gastrointestinal illness has sickened dozens of people in the north Okanagan.
Interior Health believes norovirus is the stomach bug, and suspects the source is a dignitary luncheon that followed the Lumby Days parade on Saturday.

About 75 people, including provincial and municipal politicians, attended the luncheon. At least 24 of them became sick with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
A Village of Lumby spokesperson denies its luncheon is the source of the outbreak, saying other people in the community also got sick.
However, the medical health officer says they may be secondary cases who got the virus from contact with the luncheon guests.
