Winnipeg Police charge two with stabbing, beating young woman

WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Police have laid charges after a 21-year-old woman was beaten and stabbed multiple times.

The woman was confronted by an 18-year-old woman near Logan Ave. and Princess St. early Saturday morning.

Police say the 18-year-old stabbed the victim multiple times in the upper and lower body while a second suspect, an 18-year-old man, began kicking the victim at the same time.

She was taken to hospital in unstable condition but has since been upgraded to stable.

Police have arrested the two 18-year-old suspects. They have both been charged with aggravated assault.
