The report was supposed to be submitted to the government by May 20, but that deadline has now been pushed back to two weeks.

Education minister Mike Bernier appointed private sector governance advisor Liz Watson in late April to review the board and assess its practices, budgeting, capital planning and accountability. She’s also tasked with looking at the board’s relationships with external stakeholders.

The report is now scheduled to be submitted by June 3.
