During his time with the team, Hefney had 13 interceptions, two sacks, six fumble recoveries and a total of 254 tackles in 60 games. He was also named a CFL All-Star two times while in Winnipeg.

“Some of the greatest years for me happened with my teammates in Winnipeg and those amazing fans.”

Hefney was released by the Bombers in June 2013 just days after he was charged with marijuana possession in his home state of South Carolina. He later played a season each with the Calgary Stampeders and Montreal Alouettes. Hefney finishes his CFL career with 335 overall tackles, 17 interceptions, seven fumble recoveries and two sacks.
