WINNIPEG — The family of 60-year-old Catherine Curtis is sending out a plea to the public for help after she disappeared Monday morning. Curtis was last seen on surveillance footage leaving Grace Hospital at 9:43 a.m.
Curtis’ daughter Janelle DePeazer tells Global News she had been in hospital being treated for anxiety and depression since April 13, and had permission to go out on walks. But DePeazer says it’s very out of character for her to wander off, and not return.
The family is organizing a search group today, asking any volunteers who can help, to meet at the Sturgeon Heights Community Centre at 210 Rita St.
Family will be handing out flyers in the area and has taken to social media using the hashtag #findcathy
The Winnipeg Police Service released a description of Curtis Tuesday morning, asking anyone who’s seen her to contact them.
Curtis is 5’4″ tall, thin build, 85 pounds with long white hair worn in a ponytail and blue eyes.
She may be wearing a blue jacket, plaid pants, white sneakers and a white baseball cap or knitted grey toque.
