Connor, 19, was chosen as a finalist for the 2016 Hobey Baker Award for the top player in U.S. college hockey. Connor is the favourite to win the award as a freshman. He led the University of Michigan Wolverines to within a game of the NCAA Frozen Four. The Wolverines were eliminated with a 5-2 loss to North Dakota in the NCAA Midwest Regional Final on Saturday.
