WINNIPEG – Through all this season’s highs and lows, the many, many lows, Winnipeg Jets fans have been there for their team.
Even if some had no choice.
“We couldn’t get rid of (our tickets),” said one season ticket holder. “Nobody wanted them.”

A dismal year has turned what was once the hottest ticket in town cold. Seats to a Jets home game can now be snagged right up to puck drop. More than 400 tickets were still available mid-Wednesday for that night’s match against the Ottawa Senators. Almost all of them were being sold by frustrated fans.
“It would be naïve to say the on-ice performance this year hasn’t had any impact on the game day decisions of folks coming to the games,” said Jets spokesperson Scott Brown.
But the team isn’t worried if those tickets go unclaimed. The Jets already consider their remaining home games sellouts.
“For us, the re-sale market is something that’s not a concern because those are tickets which have already been purchased,” said Brown.”
The Jets were officially eliminated from playoff contention with their 3-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.
Winnipeg sits last in the Central Division and holds the third worst record in the Western Conference.
