WINNIPEG — Manitoba Liberals have made a campaign promise to increase the amount of exercise children get in schools.
Liberal Leader Rana Bokhari says details would be worked out in consultation with teachers and school divisions.

Manitoba schools already have a minimum number of physical education classes for kids to take.
Bokhari says every school has a gym and she would ensure students made full use of them.
The New Democrats say Bokhari’s promise lacks substance and a cost estimate, and they point out they have already committed $50 million to build and renovate new gyms and fitness centres at more than a dozen schools.
