Regina men arrested following truck and boat theft

REGINA – Two Regina men are facing numerous charges after allegedly stealing a truck and a boat this weekend.

On Jan. 30, at approximately 6:10 a.m., police received a report of a boat trailer and boat attached to a truck being stolen from a residence in the 6000 block of Little Pine Loop.

Police say a witness who saw the truck being taken followed the suspects to the city’s outskirts. The suspects then left the truck and trailer, got into a car and drove away.

At approximately 7:45 a.m., police found the suspects’ vehicle at 5th Avenue and Angus Street. Officers were unable to pull the vehicle over, due the vehicle’s speed.

Police located the vehicle again, parked at an address on the 0-99 block of Centennial Street at approximately 8:20 a.m. The two men were arrested without incident.

After obtaining a search warrant, police searched the address and found items associated with earlier break and enters.

Brandon Pelletier, 19, has been charged with two counts of Theft Over $5,000, two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, and one count each of Theft Under $5,000, Possession of Break In Instruments, Mischief Under $5,000, Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

David Dinardo, 21, is charged with Theft Over $5,000, Theft Under $5,000, Possession of Break In Instruments and two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

Pelletier and Dinardo appeared in Provincial Court Monday morning at 9:30 a.m.
