All three campaign offices open in Whitby-Oshawa byelection

WHITBY, Ont. – Candidates in the Whitby-Oshawa provincial byelection have opened their campaign offices.

Progressive Conservative candidate Lorne Coe, Liberal candidate Elizabeth Roy and NDP candidate Niki Lundquist all held events at their offices Saturday, alongside bigwigs from the respective parties.

Premier Kathleen Wynne attended Roy’s opening, and Coe was joined by Progressive Conservative deputy leaders Sylvia Jones and Steve Clark.

A few hours later, NDP leader Andrea Horwath attended the opening of Lundquist’s office.

The riding has been vacant since August, when high-profile Conservative Christine Elliott resigned.

Voters will head to the polls Feb. 11.
