An Ohio fugitive was so unimpressed with his mugshot, he sent police a “better” selfie to use instead.
Donald “Chip” Pugh, 45, is wanted by Lima police for failing to appear in court and is also a person of interest in several other cases including an arson and vandalism, police said on the department’s Facebook page.
Apparently, Pugh caught wind of the police’s “wanted” Facebook post and was not impressed with the mugshots the department used.
So, naturally, Pugh took a selfie and sent it to the cops to use instead.
“Here is a better photo that one is terrible,” Pugh wrote when he sent the image, according to police.
Officers were happy to oblige.
“This photo was sent to us by Mr. Pugh himself,” police wrote on Facebook. “We thank him for being helpful, but now we would appreciate it if he would come speak to us at the LPD about his charges.”
The fugitive didn’t stop there. While still on the lam, Pugh called into a local radio show’s “Idiot of the Day” segment to talk about his now viral mugshots.
“Man, I think they just did me wrong, man,” Pugh told Lima’s 104.9 The Eagle. “They put a picture out that had me look like I was a Thundercat or somebody, man.”
Throughout the interview, the radio hosts repeatedly asked Pugh for his location, which the fugitive refused to answer.
“I see a rooster and some hens, so I’m in a chicken coop I think,” Pugh said.
Pugh told the radio station that he has no plans to turn himself in.
