BLOG: First-hand account of the refugee crisis from Lesbos, Greece

Global Okanagan reporter Neetu Garcha is in Lesbos (also written Lesvos), Greece helping with the refugee crisis.

She will be on the Greek island for about two weeks where she will be helping volunteers with whatever roles need to be filled from providing warm, dry clothing, sorting donations and entertaining children to helping refugees get off boats/dinghies when they arrive to the shore.

The reason she chose to travel to Lesbos is because of the overwhelming influx of refugees who have been arriving there. She will be in Lesbos from January 12 to 23. Follow along as she updates on social media.
