Polish officials have released shocking footage as a warning against reckless behavior near railways.
A cyclist was caught on Polish Railway CCTV cameras on Nov. 5 as he circumvented a lowered barrier at a railway crossing and was hit by an approaching high-speed train.
The footage shows him being knocked off his bike and landing unconscious a few feet off the tracks.
The name of the 26-year-old cyclist was not released.
Railway spokesman Miroslaw Siemieniec said that the man survived and was fined by the police.
