The Lethbridge Hurricanes are welcoming back one of their best players in the franchise’s history. The team announced Tuesday morning that Bryce Salvador will be the special guest for the teams 10th annual Sports Celebrity Dinner and Auction.
“It was an easy decision for us,” Hurricanes General Manager of Business Operations Terry Huisman said. “He was a five year Hurricane, 14 years in the NHL – just a fantastic career. Since he just retired, it was a fantastic opportunity to bring him back to the city and we felt there was no better choice then Bryce.”
Salvador spent five seasons with the ‘Canes, from 1992-1997, including a 1997 championship run. He would go on to long career in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues and New Jersey Devils.
Along with the dinner on Jan. 22, the ‘Canes plan to celebrate Salvador’s career with “Bryce Salvador Night” at the Jan. 23 game against the Moose Jaw Warriors.
