MONTREAL – It looks like commuting into the city is going to get a lot easier for some West Islanders.
The reserve lane on Highway 20 is now open to electric vehicles and carpooling cars that have three or more people.

The lane was initially only accessible to buses and taxis.
Quebec’s Transport Minister made the announcement in Quebec City on Monday.
