“Along with that report came the information that there was a one-year-old and a three-year-old in their car seats in the back of the vehicle at the time the truck was stolen,” said Cpl. Sarah Knelsen.

The kids were found “frightened but unharmed” less than half-an-hour later on a street about four kilometres away.

“With the public’s assistance we were able to locate the two children safely around the corner of Caribou and Carlyle Street…The truck was not at the scene.”

“They were both young girls, they were sisters,” said Knelsen. “A member of the public phoned in and said she had located two children and they were matching the descriptions of the two we were looking for.”

“We are so thankful that they were found in good health and we were able to reunite them with their mother.”
