Remembrance Day operating hours for City of Winnipeg

WINNIPEG — All civic offices are closed on Wednesday, November 11.

Garbage and Recycling Collection – No collection on Remembrance Day. Residents with a regular collection day of Wednesday, Thursday or Friday will each be one day later for the week of Remembrance Day. Brady Road Landfill will also be closed on November 11th.

Transit – Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule on Remembrance Day. Transit will observe a moment of silence at 11:00 a.m. on November 11. Drivers will pull over and stop their buses at safe locations to recognize a minute of silence. Route and schedule information can be found here: Winnipeg Transit. 

Libraries – All Winnipeg Public Library branches will be closed on November 11. Online services are available anytime at Winnipeg Public Library.

Leisure Centres/Swimming Pools – All Leisure Centres  and pools are closed on November 11, with the exception of Pan Am Pool (1:00p.m. – 5:00 p.m.) and Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex (2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)

Animal Services Agency – Closed on November 11.

Cemeteries – Brookside, St. Vital and Transcona Cemeteries will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Offices will be closed.
