Two Saskatoon businesses robbed over the weekend

SASKATOON – Police are looking for suspects after two robberies in Saskatoon over the weekend. The first happened late Saturday night at a Stonebridge hotel.

Staff told police a man armed with a rifle demanded cash before fleeing the hotel in the 500-block of Cope Way with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say no shots were fired and no one was injured.

The second robbery happened late Sunday night at the Shoppers Drug Mart in the 600-block of Taylor Street East.

According to staff, the man stated he had a weapon although none was ever shown. He made off with an unknown amount of drugs.

He is described as Caucasian between 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing a grey winter jacket with multi colours and a red toque.
