WINNIPEG – A 25-year-old man is recovering in hospital after he crashed a vehicle into a street sweeper just after 2 a.m. Friday.

The collision happened on Grant Avenue between Shaftesbury Boulevard and Chalfont Road.

He was taken to hospital in unstable condition but has since been upgraded to stable.

Police say alcohol may be a contributing factor in the crash.
