A building that will become Vancouver’s tallest residential-only tower is opening its presentation centre this month.
Members of the media will get a first look at the centre this afternoon, and it will be opened to the public on October 17.
Construction on Burrard Place is expected to begin early next year and be completed in 2019.
When finished, the 53-storey tower will have 354 condo units and be the third highest building in the city, behind only the Shangri-La and the Trump International Hotel currently under construction.
WATCH: Almost an entire city block is being prepped for the largest single real estate development in downtown Vancouver. Jill Bennett explains how “Burrard Place” will change the city skyline.
It will be situated at Burrard and Drake, one block from the Burrard Street Bridge. A different large tower is already under construction at the foot of Granville Street Bridge, while another has been proposed at the foot of the Cambie Street Bridge.
Burrard Place, which is being developed by The Jim Pattison Group, will also see the return of a Pattison Toyota dealership to the corner, which it occupied for 42 years.
