Richmond RCMP is searching for a suspect involved in an alleged sexual assault of a female student this morning.
The incident, police said, happened between 7:30 a.m. and 7:50 a.m. as the student was walking to R.C. Palmer Secondary School.
Just before the girl went inside the school, the male suspect allegedly approached and groped her, and then exposed himself before fleeing.
A forensic composite sketch will be released by police. The suspect is described as: Caucasian male, 40+ years old, 5’7″ to 5’8″ tall, medium-build, dark hair and a long dark beard with a mustache that is possibly red or brown in colour. He was wearing dark pants, a gray/dark hoodie, and a beanie-style toque.
Police said a light blue, older model sedan may be associated with the suspect.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Richmond RCMP.
