MEXICO CITY — The six Mexican tourists wounded in an attack in Egypt have been taken in stretchers and wheelchairs to hospitals in Mexico after being flown back to their home country.
The five women and one man were taken off the presidential airplane and lowered to the tarmac on mobile platforms Friday.
Mexico’s health secretary said the victims had suffered burns, respiratory problems or fractures in the attack Sunday.

The Foreign Relations Department updated its travel advisory on Egypt, advising Mexicans to “reconsider or postpone their plans to travel to Egypt.”
Foreign Relations Secretary Claudia Ruiz Massieu said Mexico has sent a diplomatic note to Egypt demanding it respect the victims’ right to compensation.
Eight other Mexicans died when Egyptian forces hunting militants mistakenly attacked their convoy in the western desert.
