Call it a giant-size move. A piece of equipment destined for the boundary dam power station near Estevan is on the move

The 90,000 kilogram cylinder, the size of a six storey building, will start its journey Monday from Biggar.

The almost continuous high-load move will be using secondary highways as much as possible.

SaskPower officials said several power lines will have to be temporarily lifted and localized power outages may be necessary along the route.

There will be planned outages in the Estevan area on Thursday for the final leg of the journey.

The cylinder is one of the major components for SaskPower’s carbon capture and storage process.
