MONTREAL – Biking on Saint-Denis Street has just gotten a little easier.
The City of Montreal has set up a reserved bike lane between Laurier and Roy streets, a first for the busy area.

Cyclists will be able to use the lane heading southbound during the morning rush hour.

The city said Saint-Denis Street is a major route for many cyclists heading downtown and that’s why they decided to put in a bike lane.

If the Saint-Denis project is successful, officials may install reserved bike lanes on other major streets in the downtown core.
