Weather update: Wednesday, August 26, 2015 4:15pm
Although parts of the BC Southern Interior have seen slight improvements with the smoke, we won’t see significant improvement until a change in the weather pattern.
The stability and lack of vertical movement under an upper ridge over Southern BC has been preventing the smoke from moving out of our valleys.
However we will see a change this weekend and cooler air will move in aloft, helping to disperse the smoke. This upper trough that is pushing into BC will also bring clouds, showers and cooler conditions for the last weekend of August.
Thursday’s daytime high range: 23 to 29C
More details coming up at 5, 6:30 and 11pm!
