RAW: Six dogs, including three puppies, rescued from Home Street fire
WINNIPEG — Fire crews rushed to the scene of a house fire on the 500 block of Home Street Friday afternoon. Fire fighters were able to get the blaze under control but discovered multiple pets were trapped inside.

Six dogs, including three bulldog/boxer cross puppies were being treated on scene. The animals were given oxygen.
“They were kind of limp at first,” said Alana Hielkema, one of the paramedics who worked on the dogs. “Over the course of 15 to 20 minutes they started to perk up and move their legs.”

Officials tell Global News all dogs are expected to be okay.
“This is the save of the career right now,” said Kurt Lehmann, a paramedic who also gave the dogs oxygen.
