MONTREAL – The Rogers Cup isn’t just for professional tennis players, it’s also for aspiring athletes of all ages.

Tennis Québec president Réjean Genois stopped by the Global Montreal Morning News to tell anchor Camille Ross about the fourth annual Mini-Rogers Cup.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Twelve tennis courts will be set up across the esplanade section of the Olympic stadium for youngsters, aged 5 to 10-years-old.

It’s a friendly competition that allows junior players to not only showcase their skills, but to learn from actual professional Rogers Cup
competitors who will be on-location to share their stories and swing a racket with the kids.

The size of the courts, along with the ball and racket are reduced to accommodate the young contestants.
