WEST KELOWNA – The playground at a West Kelowna public park will soon be no more. The city says it will be removing the playground at Horizon Park for a number of reasons. The municipality says the playground doesn’t get used much and isn’t up to Canadian Safety Association standards anymore.

According to the city, there has also been vandalism reported in the past, “including an attempt to light the playgrounds plastic slide on fire and destruction of the barrier that holds in sand around the play structure.”
