Just a couple of buildings are still standing in Wayne, including the Rosedeer Hotel, which is home to the Last Chance Saloon—a must-visit spot. It has a rich history; be sure to ask staff to show you the bullet holes in the walls!

Outside, the quaint patio is partially covered and is a great place to enjoy some live music, a hamburger (they’re only $4!) and a cold beer. Plus—kids are welcome.

After a bite to eat, go for a hike through the coulees to see the hoodoos and keep your eyes peeled for dinosaur bones!
