Tornado watch ended in southeast Saskatchewan

Environment Canada has ended a tornado watch in southeast Saskatchewan. SkyTracker Weather

Environment Canada issued a tornado watch Saturday afternoon in the southeastern corner of Saskatchewan. Meteorologists are tracking a surface low pressure system, which has developed along the international border, near Estevan, Sask.

Thunderstorms may be capable of producing tornadoes, strong winds, damaging hail and torrential rain. Satellite radar indicates that development has already started.

In the event of a tornado or tornado warning, Environment Canada recommends people take the following actions: Seek shelter on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, stay away from outside walls and windows. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris.
