HALIFAX – The province’s Serious Incident Response Team, SiRT, is investigating the arrest of a 25-year-old woman Friday.
Police went to an apartment building on Dawn Street just after 4:30 p.m. to respond to a complaint of unwanted people in one of the apartments.
While there, police recognized a woman who was wanted for arrest.
As they attempted to arrest her, she fled to another apartment. The woman then apparently jumped from a window, which was one storey up, because she was next seen on the ground.
She was taken to hospital and was found to have suffered fractures in her back, pelvis and wrist.
Police referred the matter to SiRT, which deals with serious incidents involving police.
