Two people have been charged in connection with a “serious assault” on an Uber driver in Ottawa earlier this month.

Ottawa Police said two men and a women took the Uber ride-sharing service from a downtown nightclub at Bank St. and Slater St. on June 8.

Police allege that after a few blocks the passengers became “physically aggressive” with the driver, who ran from his car at the corner of Elgin St. and Lisgar St.

“We were also in contact with Ottawa Police and provided them with assistance for their investigation.”

Police said Crystle Bossi, 23, and Jesse Karam, 27, of Ottawa have both been charged with aggravated assault after being arrested Tuesday.

Karam also faces two charges of breach of undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court today, while police said Bossi will appear in court next month.

Police are still searching for a third suspect in connection with the alleged assault and he’s been described as black, 6′, about 30 years old, muscular and long hair.
