VANCOUVER – Police are on scene in Port Coquitlam investigating a shooting this morning.
They arrived at a quiet residential neighbourhood, at Cambridge Street and Manning Avenue, just after 5 a.m. and are now searching for evidence.
One man was found to be suffering from a gunshot wound and was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
There are about eight police cars on scene and officers have taped off some streets.
Neighbours say they saw a man being taken away in an ambulance and they could hear him shouting and moaning.
They also told Global News the house where they believe the incident originated from is a rental property, but they have not seen any issues at the home before.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Coquitlam RCMP at (604) 945-1550 and quote police file# 2015-19163 or call Crime Stoppers.
