AURORA, Ont. – York Regional Police have charged a 24-year-old man in the shooting deaths of two teenagers in Richmond Hill in January of last year.
Police say they found three victims in a car in a parking lot after receiving reports of gunfire.
Two Brampton teens – Brenda Pathammavong, 16, and Premier Hoang, 18 – died after the incident while a third shooting victim survived.
York police chief Eric Jolliffe says investigations like these take a long time to complete. He said police have used significant resources in this case.
Timothy Doug-Hyun Lee of Mississauga is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder. He was expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
