Dozens of people gathered at Spanish Banks Sunday night to say goodbye to a 19-year-old man killed in a knife attack in Whistler.
Family and friends dressed in “Justice for Luka” shirts came together to light candles in memory of Luka Gordic.
He and his friends were in Whistler for the May long weekend when he was stabbed to death.
An adult male, charged in connection with Gordic’s death, will appear in court for his bail hearing on May 28.
The 18-year-old is charged with manslaughter. Originally his name was not released to the public due to a publication ban, however, he can now be identified as Arvin Golic.
Three 17-year-olds have also been charged in connection with the incident.
Two of the 17-year-olds were released on bail Wednesday, but the third remains in custody. The teens were released to their parents, must report to a bail supervisor and abide by a nightly curfew.
