Truck slams into fire hydrant in West Kelowna

WEST KELOWNA — A broken fire hydrant on Juliann Road and Stevens Road flooded the street in West Kelowna Thursday morning. Shortly after 8 a.m., a pickup truck towing a trailer sheared off of a fire hydrant and went into a ditch, flooding the nearby B.C. Hydro parking lot. The truck was going towards Ross Road and went off the road to the right into a large ditch. No one was injured in the incident. The flowing water was not shut off for over half an hour.
