Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for all of Southern Manitoba with some Central regions included. A Colorado low will make it’s way into the province and rain will begin in the southwest Saturday morning with the chance of possible thunderstorms. Rain will creep into the rest of the south by mid-afternoon.

A cold front developing in the territories will push south and that, combined with the low, will see heavy rain develop Saturday night lasting into Sunday while winds out of the north get stronger. Due to the cold winds, rain could turn to snow late on Sunday. The hardest hit areas will likely be over the western sections of the province with higher terrain, such as Riding Mountain National Park.
