Rockets back in Kelowna for game 3 of WHL final

KELOWNA – They couldn’t ask for a better spot to be in, up 2-0 in the WHL finals and back in Kelowna on home ice.

The Rockets, with the chance to take a strangle hold on the series, are cautiously optimistic, but know there’s lots of hockey left to play.

“It’s no different than a two goal lead. It’s a tough one for us,” says Rockets assistant coach Kris Mallette. “This game is probably the biggest of our season we’ll be ready to go.”

The Rockets will look for an early jump in game three. The last two games it’s been the Wheat Kings drawing first blood, both goals early in the first period.

The Kelowna club will also look to contain the Wheat Kings power play. In this series Brandon’s scored three times on seven man advantages.
