HALIFAX – Dutch Village Road in Halifax is reopen after police blocked off the 3700 block on Wednesday night after reports of a fight.
Police said initial reports suggested one of the men involved had a gun, but they found no evidence of a firearm.
The fight started when five white males in a white hatchback got into an altercation with three other men who live in the area, according to a press release.
Officers shut down the block while they searched for the men who they believed were hiding in a nearby apartment building.
The K9 unit was also called in to help with the search.
The road was reopened after an hour, once it was determined the five suspects had fled the area in the car.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
