EDMONTON — Several of Alberta’s political leaders will be meeting with the media on Monday as part of their election campaigns.
Liberal Leader David Swann will meet with the editorial board of Metro News in Edmonton this morning, and will then prepare for the upcoming leader’s debate.
NDP Leader Rachel Notley will be a guest on CBC Radio right after making an announcement in Edmonton about mortgage taxes.
Wildrose Leader Brian Jean is also in Edmonton. In the morning at a park near the Grey Nuns Hospital he will announce details on a plan to shrink wait times, before heading to a meet-and-greet in Wainwright late in the afternoon.
PC Leader Jim Prentice starts his day with a media availability in Fort McMurray and a visit to the Fort McMurray-Conklin campaign office. Prentice will then travel to Calgary for the night.
On Thursday night all four leaders will take part in a live debate being hosted by Global News. As with previous debates, only the leaders of the parties with elected members in the Legislature at dissolution will participate.
The debate will air on Global Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Shaw Community Channels and on News Talk 770 and 630 CHED. Global News will also livestream the debate online.
