WATCH: Astronaut uses GoPro to capture spacewalk
TORONTO – What’s it like being an astronaut and walking out into the cold vastness of space? Astronaut Terry Virts showed us firsthand.
Virts captured footage of his extravehicular activity (EVA) during two of his spacewalks — on Feb. 25 and March 1 — when he and fellow astronaut Barry “Butch” Wilmore prepared the space station for two new crew spacecraft that are being built by Boeing and SpaceX.

Virts first took a selfie (who wouldn’t, right?) as he began his spacewalk. And the view was stunning, if not a bit intimidating. Earth was seen far below as Virts made his way around the space station.
