WINNIPEG – When the puck drops Tuesday night at MTS Centre, a key player will be back in the Winnipeg Jets line up.

“I’m excited about Bryan coming back,” said Jets head coach Paul Maurice, whose team is in a close fight for a playoff spot and needs all the extra firepower it can get.

Bryan Little will finally be back after suffering an upper body injury on March 4 against Ottawa.

“At the end of the day it is quite a bit more depth,” said Maurice, adding Little is the team’s number one centre. Little has 24 goals and 27 assists in 65 games this season.

“You need your best players in your line up,” said Maurice, noting this is the first time all key players will suit up since the major trade that send Evander Kane and Zach Bogosian to Buffalo in exchange for Tyler Myers and Drew Stafford.

Little told media he feels good going into Tuesday’s game against the New York Rangers.

He says he understands why the team wanted him to only return once he was 100 per cent, especially with team in a tight wild card race.

The Jets are in the second wild card spot in the Western Conference but there is pressure from the LA Kings, who are only two points back.

The Jets are also keeping a close eye on Vancouver, Calgary and Minnesota.
