MOOSE JAW, Sask. – An alleged impaired driver tried to evade police early Saturday morning.
Shortly before 1:30 am, officers attempted to pull over a vehicle on Hochelaga Street East near 5th Avenue. However, the driver abandoned the car and ran away.

With the help of the canine unit the driver was arrested, but police says he refused to provide a breath sample.
The man is facing charges including impaired driving.
