Golfers pull out the clubs as Shooters sheds its snow, opens range

WINNIPEG — If you are looking for something to do this weekend, Shooters golf centre is set to open its driving range Saturday.

“We’ve been out clearing the snow, but there’s not much snow to clear anyways,” said Guido Cerasani, the owner of the north Main Street golf course.

The driving range usually is open in the beginning of April, but the weather has been fantastic for the business, Cerasani said.

“The phone has been ringing off the hook with people asking when are we opening,” said Cerasani.

Shooters driving range opens Saturday morning and if the weather holds, Cerasani hopes to have the golf course open in a week or so.
