The blockades set up near Merritt over the disposal of biosolids from West Kelowna and Peachland are having an impact. The blockades went up Tuesday. The protesters say they don’t want more waste in their community saying it’s affecting their quality of life and there are fears it could be contaminating their drinking water. As Kelly Hayes reports more trucks are being turned away, forcing the Regional District of Central Okanagan to come up with alternatives.
