Police in Richmond are now leading the investigation into an early morning house fire.
The flames were spotted shortly after one o’clock this morning, not far from No.5 Road and Bridgeport.
Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang coming from the home on Flury Drive before the fire started, but police haven’t confirmed that.
The damage seems to be concentrated on the second story of the house, which was under construction.
Fire investigators are expected to be back at the scene later this morning.
Police are not clarifying why they’re now handling inquiries on the case but say they are treating the fire as suspicious.
