Man sent to hospital after Saskatoon shooting

SASKATOON – A man has been sent to hospital after a reported shooting in Saskatoon Wednesday morning. Police were called to a break and enter at a residence in the 2000-block of 20th Street West around 6:30 a.m.

The caller also said a man had been shot.

Arriving officers found a 30-year-old with serious injuries. There are reports he suffered a gunshot wound to his leg. There is no word on his current condition.

At least one man is reported to have broken into the home and shot the man before fleeing.

The area was cordoned off and patrol officers and members of the tactical support unit searched a nearby residence. No arrests have been made.

Classes at Pleasant Hill School are carrying on as scheduled. Saskatoon Public Schools say police have informed them the area is safe.
