SUSSEX, N.B. – RCMP in New Brunswick are investigating an explosion at a Sussex apartment building on Friday night.
Police received a report of an explosion shortly before 11 p.m. on Church Avenue.

The Mounties say two men were sent to hospital for treatment of severe burns but that all other tenants were able to escape the apartment building safely.
Sussex RCMP say they are looking into reports of suspicious activity in the area following the incident.
They say lab experts are investigating whether illegal drug production could be linked to the explosion.
