Police seek witnesses of stabbing in Vancouver entertainment district

Police are appealing to two limousine drivers who may have witnessed a stabbing last weekend in the Granville Entertainment District that sent one man to hospital with serious injuries.

A fight broke out shortly after 3 a.m. on Feb. 15 at the corner of Granville and Davie Street. When police arrived they found a 26-year-old man, who had been stabbed, as others fled the area. The man was taken to the hospital and is currently recovering from his injuries.

Vancouver police later arrested a 27-year-old Langley woman and a 29-year-old Surrey man in connection with the incident. Although charges were recommended for the man, both were released pending further investigation.

Anyone who may have witnessed the altercation are asked to contact the VPD Major Crime section or Crime Stoppers.
